Data Integrity, Protection & Privacy
Veda Advantage is committed to protecting privacy.
Veda Advantage takes the integrity and security of its data very seriously. We have incorporated a range of systems and processes to protect the integrity of the data we hold and ensure that access is only given to those with the appropriate authority.
Privacy in Australia
The Federal Privacy Act (1988) regulates privacy issues throughout Australia and can be enforced. Together with the Credit Reporting Code of Conduct, it represents the most significant piece of legislation affecting the operations of a consumer credit bureau and is fundamental to our operations. We are regularly audited by the Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner (OFPC).

Privacy in New Zealand
New Zealand privacy laws are administered by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and are regulated by both the Privacy Act 1993 and the recently-introduced Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2004. We work very closely with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and regularly report to them on issues of privacy.
