BCA customers can look forward to a wider range of products and services, including a sophisticated new website as a result of the company’s bureau transformation program and continued investment in BCA’s Receivables Management systems, both due to be launched in early 2004. Behind these new initiatives, BCA has a new Managing Director, Andrew Want , who sees the projects as key to enhancing BCA’s service delivery and competitive position.

“In transforming our Australian credit bureau, we are responding to what our customers and the market are telling us they expect of Australia’s leading provider of business information. Customers will benefit from greater efficiencies in data access and increased flexibility in product and service delivery through our improved web channel. The breadth, depth and quality of the information they receive from both our consumer and commercial products will be noticeably enhanced,” said Andrew.

Prior to commencing his new role at Baycorp Advantage, Andrew was the Managing Director of Travelex Australia, New Zealand, Japan Group, a subsidiary of global foreign exchange and payments group Travelex, incorporating Thomas Cook Global and Financial Services. With a proven background in growing Australasian businesses through strategic leadership and sound business initiatives, he successfully merged the Travelex and Thomas Cook financial services organisations in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, after becoming Managing Director in 1997.

Andrew firmly believes in adopting a personal approach to the business and its customers, and will spend the first few weeks in his new role meeting as many customers, BCA staff and key stakeholders on both sides of the Tasman as possible.

A keen contributor to the community, Andrew is personally committed to supporting not-for-profit organisations. He is currently a Director of the Fred Hollows Foundation. Andrew has also previously been a member of the Executive Committee of the CARE Australia Corporate Council, a Director of the Melbourne-based Australian Drug Foundation and a council member of the Australian British Chamber of Commerce (NSW chapter).
