Baycorp Advantage (BCA) announced two new appointments to its senior management team as the latest step in the company’s program of leadership change and capability development that has been underway since 2003. The new appointments are: - Russell Evans, General Manager, Sales & Distribution
- Erica Hughes, General Manager, Business Information Services (BIS)
These appointments are designed to accelerate revenue growth in the short and medium term following the company’s recent return to profitability. The appointments follow the March 2004 appointment of Stephen Benton as General Manager, Baycorp Advantage Collections Services (BCS) and Andrew Carline as Chief Information Officer, in July 2004. Background on Russell Evans Russell Evans joins Baycorp Advantage from Hyperion Solutions, where he served as Managing Director for its Australian and New Zealand operations. He has an extensive track record as a senior sales executive and was instrumental in creating a more customer centric culture at Hyperion Solutions following 18 months service as its Director of Sales & Marketing. Russell’s ability to drive initiatives focused on building better customer relationships, by understanding customers’ businesses and their needs, and by developing and providing solutions that help customers address the challenges they face will help deliver sustainable top line revenue growth for the company. Background on Erica Hughes Erica Hughes joins Baycorp Advantage from the Baker Heart Research Institute where she was Chief Operating Officer. In that role she led a complete restructure of the Institute’s research, innovation and commercial activities and operations. Prior to joining the Baker Institute, Erica Hughes held several senior management roles in the financial services sector with National Australia Bank and Westpac and as Head of Consumer Banking (Personal Financial Services) at ANZ. Erica’s skills in product development and innovation will help Baycorp Advantage expand its offerings to incorporate new services including fraud and identity verification, anti-money laundering and insurance risk assessment.
