Under the new Code, Rule 5 (2) (i), we are obligated to maintain an access log. This means that for every enquiry made regarding consumer credit information, a log will be recorded with the following details:

  • Record of the time the access was made
  • Date the access was made
  • Subscriber purpose for accessing
  • Identity of the specific user

We provide access to credit information about consumers under the grounds permitted under Rule 11 of the NZ Credit Reporting Privacy Code 2004. Each time you use our credit reporting service you need to confirm the purpose for which you are accessing the service, including confirming that you have authorisation where this is required in Rule 11.
